Forging and Shaping - the seminal authors (Howard through Moorcock)
Normalizing and Annealing - those who followed and shaped (Lee through Balesta)
Tempering and Sharpening - those who bring something new to the genre (Russ through Hurley)
The Balesta story is original to this publication.
Each story has a brief paragraph or two about the author and the story before it begins.
