11 stories, previously published 1877 to 1880 in magazines, first published as a book in two volumes containing 7 and 4 stories.
The former seven are now known as two series "The Suicide Club" and "The Rajah's Diamond". They alone were called "Later-Day Arabian Nights" when published in serial June to October 1878.
