• The introduction by Campbell is dated January 1985 but is actually the combined introductions for New Terrors 1 and 2 with a few changes. The name Tolkein in #1 was corrected to Tolkien in the omnibus, and the last paragraph in #1, "Between Aickman and Wagner, two writers as different as they could be, are as many terrors as there are writers. Try not to read too many at once. They are best when read alone.", was deleted.
