Years after human and alien forces destroyed each other in a vicious interstellar war, a desperate group of human refugees settles on an uninhabited planet which had once been the site of a fierce battle; but when an equally devastated group of alien refugees lands elsewhere on the planet the ancient hatreds arise again. A superpowerful sentient fighting machine abandoned since the previous war awakens when it detects the aliens and joins the humans in an attack to eliminate the hated aliens.
